Veinlite/Translite LLC
TransLite LLC is a small high-tech company of people dedicated to designing, manufacturing and selling medical devices that can help reduce pain and injury to patients during venous access and varicose vein treatment. The Veinlite project created by the company has resulted in the production of state-of-the-art, patented devices for finding and accessing veins. The company's product range includes: vascular illuminators, halogen vascular illuminator, dedicated covers and cases.
History
TransLite LLC was founded in 1992 to commercialize an innovative product called Nevoscope for detecting skin cancer. The Nevoscope device was designed by Dr. Atam Dhawan and uses an innovative technique called lateral transillumination to make a small area of skin transparent. Dr. Dhawan received a patent for the Nevoscope design, which was assigned for commercialization to Mr. Nizar Mullani, who designed the new Nevoscope for polarized imaging of the skin surface with side illumination for skin cancer detection. The concept of the Veinlite device originated from clinical results collected with Nevoscope. Deeper blood vessels could be seen more easily with transillumination than with polarized imaging. Numerous studies have led to the design of a simple lateral x-ray device with a hole in the ring for imaging superficial blood vessels. This device was called Veinlite and used a ring fiber optic with a powerful light source to locally illuminate the skin to image blood vessels. To this day, it remains one of the most important devices for finding deeper power veins. After two years of research, it was discovered that orange light provides the highest contrast for imaging superficial blood vessels, while red light penetrates the deepest for imaging deeper veins. Two colors of LEDs could give much better vein images with just two watts or less, and a design for a portable Veinlite device called Veinlite LED was developed in 2004. It quickly became apparent that these portable devices were very useful for finding veins in children and adults.

Bechtold & Co. has been a distributor of the Veinlite brand for many years. TransLite LLC's products can be seen both during the numerous conferences and scientific events in which we participate, and during personal meetings with our representatives. We provide warranty service for equipment purchased from us, as well as post-warranty service.
Warranty
Veinlite products come with a two-year warranty, carried out by our service in Poland.
